I’ve been having a little moment where I enjoy a good cereal bar,

And I know they aren’t great for you but they’re easy for the car,

This morning like all the rest,

I put my hand in my bag to pull out the nuttier bar that is by far the best,

I put my fingers down and pressed,

Retrieved my sticky hand and began to inspect,

As I glanced down at the cereal bar on the passenger side,

I was shocked it had been eaten on the inside,

I realised the middle was gone,

What the fuck had I done,

Did I eat it in my sedated sleep?

Surely I couldn’t have slept that deep,

I got home and played detective,

This wasn’t a solitary crime it was a collective,

I set up my camera right next to my bag,

As I watched the video I saw a family of mice who had begun to drag

My cereal bar from my bag,

They spent their time dining throughout the night,

Only stopping when they got a fright,

And of course my bag is now full of shite,

The case was closed I had found the cereal bar killer mice,

And well this didn’t happen once but more than twice,

Now I live with a family of fury roommates,

There are just too many for my cat to face,

And well three of them have due dates,

I guess I’m going to need more cereal bars,

Because what was once mine is now ours.
